During fiscal year 2023-24, the Clothing Connection continued to build up our in-school closets model, continued to develop our “Open Closet” program at SHS, and added the district’s alternative high schools, New Liberty and Salem Prep, to our program. At the end of the school year, the Clothing Connection set up summer-program bins at Bates Elementary, Carlton Elementary, and Collins Middle School. More than 600 students were served out of our closets this fiscal year, representing significant growth. At the same time, growing our gently-used-clothing intake program, allowed us to keep to the budget.
